Bio

Denica Shell is a mixed media artist living in Buffalo, Wyoming. After receiving an Associate Degree in Fine Arts from Sheridan College, she earned her bachelor’s degree in visual arts from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. She’s spent much of her art career as an oil painter, but her current work is exploring other mediums of interest including metal, clay, wood, printmaking, bookmaking, found objects, and installation art. In 2020, Denica received an Arts Administration certificate from Sheridan College in Wyoming. She worked at AVA Community Art Center in Gillette, Wyoming as the marketing coordinator in 2020-2021. Currently Denica is a full-time working and teaching artist. She recently started a marketing and consulting business for artists and has several community projects in process. Her work can be found online, in the S.A.G.E. (Sheridan Arts Guild, Et al) member gallery in Sheridan, Wyoming, ART321 in Casper, WY, and AVA Community Art Center in Gillette.
